The greatest architect
creates beautiful things
without intending to please:
picture this sight;
a grassy shore
folding sloped ground
into soft lake waves
that quietly prod the green
from which slim white trunks
arch out in clusters,
whose gracefully balanced
lean strength runs
up to green paradise
in facets hanging still
bowing to the water
and then,
placed gently beside
these living portraits
stands a statue;
small and birch white,
a lady with a vase
graceful, long and strong
her white dress carves
words of wind
into the scene.
